Mélanie Bessard, director, ensures the general smooth running of the museum. She makes sure the collections are kept in good condition and are handed down to future generations; she manages the conservation and expands the collections by receiving new purchased or donated acquisitions. She draws up the inventory of goods and carries out scientific research. She establishes the exhibition schedules and co-ordinates discussions with other museums and cultural institutions.
Marie-Jo David, Vanessa Bernardin and Sylvie Lefebvre welcome you with a smile at the museum's ticket office and shop. They offer an original selection of games and toys, which gives prominence to those produced locally.
David Olivier, communication manager, keeps you informed of current events at the museum.
Mickaël Roze runs the museum's documentation centre. Several thousand books, catalogues and journals related to toys and games have been collected since the museum was established in 1989. He manages and conserves them, and answers the team's various requests for information and documentation. He has worked at the museum for many years and knows everything there is to know about the place and its collections.
Claudie Goujon, Marianne Weissenbacher and Douniazade Coobar, cultural mediators, organise and run creative, educational and fun workshops for children and families. They guide visitors through the collections with good humour. They are the dedicated contacts for teachers and leisure centres, helping them prepare and organise their visits to the museum.
Marion Farinetti and Douniazade Coobar, conservation assistants, carry out computer-based inventory and stocktaking work for every toy in the collection. They photograph them, check the existing information, state of toys in the collection and treat them, all in the interests of spreading knowledge.
Patricia Thiboud, the cleaner, makes sure the museum is clean so that you can enjoy it all the more.
In Summer and at Christmas, the team is expanded and there are new smiling faces welcoming you at the entrance of our joyful museum!
